Covenant Vehicle Technology

The Halo Universe created a whole host of various Flying Vehicles ranging from those Craft using possible future extensions of current Human Propulsion Systems to Craft which utilise a completely unknown Covenant Alien Technology, (such as Ghosts and Banshees) but exactly how likely is it that such Alien Propulsion System could have a basis in reality :?:

The Type-26 Ground Support Aircraft, more commonly identified as the Banshee is equipped with two Wings which terminate in a Propulsion Jet and an Anti-Gravity Pod, leaving behind a signature Vaporous Exhaust Trail while Flying. So it doesn't require a gigantic leap in real Human Technology to understand the principles of the Jet Propulsion System used to develop Thrust, but an Anti-Gravity Pod used to actually achieve Flight is altogether entirely another matter. Additionally the Fuel Source used to Power the Jets is unknown.

The Type-32 Rapid Assault Vehicle more commonly identified as the Ghost by the UNSC, is the Covenant's one-man Gravity-Effect standard reconnaissance and rapid attack vehicle with its near silent Anti-Gravity Propulsion System. This type of Propulsion System certainly has no direct analogue to anything currently in Human use, or as to the source of Power.

A Type-52 Troop Carrier, otherwise known as the Phantom or Type-52 TC, is a Covenant Troop Transport Vehicle carrying Twenty Seven (Thirty in Halo: Reach) Passengers inside its Troop Bay (Sixteen in Halo 2). Troops are deployed from both the Gravity Lift installed in the bottom of the Ship, and the Doors on either side. Specification of it's Propulsion System is unknown, and again there certainly is no direct analogue to anything currently in Human use to describe it's Technology.

Could such Systems of Propulsion actually Work, is it even be possible to envisage with developments in Human Technology such means of Propulsion ever being achieved, or will they just remain wonderful creations of fantasy resigned to the Genre of SciFi :?:
